The Realix SBUS/DMX Box can operate either as an SBUS Box or as a DMX Box, selected with a simple switch on the device.
In SBUS mode, the Box connects and powers up to 16 Realix Pods using standard Ethernet cables. Both data and power (12V DC) run over the same line, keeping installation simple and scalable. Pods are automatically recognized by the ERC system, and multiple units can be daisy-chained up to 25 m.
In DMX mode, the Box provides one full DMX universe (512 channels) to control DMX-compatible lighting and effects such as dimmers, strobes, and color changers. If more channels are needed, additional Boxes can be added, each automatically discovered in the ERC Designer.
